My Uncle Bill

He is from Virginia. Old school Virgina where southern charm lives on. The men compliment the women and the women accept the compliments gracefully behind their fans.

Me: Isn’t R great?
Uncle Bill: I admi-ah yowur drawwing powah.

Since I’m the girl, I get the compliment. Nice work all around.

you know, I live with your uncle bill (when i’m not at school…seeing as he’s my dad) and I still don’t really know what that said.

A baby is baptized during a Sunday morning service. It cries during the baptism, it cries during the mumbo-jumbo when the congregation too renews its faith, it cries right up until when Uncle Bill is about to begin his sermon. He pauses. He says, “It’s a sign of the Holy Spirit that the proclamation continues.”
